Roof Trees – a beach house
Roof Trees, Redcliffe. I first saw this superb example of a 1920s beach house in 1998. It was one of the of finest examples I found in during a study of beach houses in Queensland. It was very intact with commanding views of Moreton Bay. Alas I recently discovered it has been relocated, presumably for a new multi-storied development on the foreshore.
(Update March 2011. I was recently informed by a family member of the original owners that the house was relocated to a property north of Brisbane)
